Camilla Parker, the Duchess of Cornwall, received her title after her marriage to Prince Charles. However, she has garnered quite the reputation long before she was a part of the royal family. Media was quick to jump on the fact that the Duchess was allegedly romantically involved with the Prince long before their marriage. This, at the time, was heavily criticized and caught worldwide attention.
After her marriage to Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall has been assisting the royal family with their official duties and has taken on philanthropic work such as raising awareness for sexual harassment, rape, animal welfare, and poverty.

The future Queen paid a special visit to the CEO of a cancer charity and awarded them with a special honor when she was visiting London.
‘Maggie’s’ is a network of drop-in centers all across the United Kingdom. Their main goal is to support anyone who has been suffering from cancer or been affected by it. The Chief Executive of the Charity, Dame Laura Lee, was told to be at the Clarence House for an interview on her charity work but, it turned out to be a lot more as there was a great surprise waiting for her.
Surprise Surprise!
Dame Laura Lee was awarded an ‘Outstanding Contribution Award’ which is a part of the Inaugural Pride of Scotland Award. The Chief Executive was caught off-guard as the Duchess of Cornwall presented her with the award for her charitable work.
The heart-warming moment was shared on the Instagram account of the Clarence House which gives the details of Dame Laura Lee’s Contribution and hard work that she has done for the people.

The Duchess of Cornwall has been the president of the charity since 2008. She has personally visited all the centers to witness the hard work put in by the member and the staff of Maggie’s. The Duchess congratulated Lee, who was taken back by the pleasant surprise, on winning the prestigious award.
It is to be noted that Dame Laura lee is the leading founding figure of the Scottish charity ‘Maggie’s’ and she has selflessly dedicated her life to give support to people who are suffering from cancer all around the United Kingdom.
